October 3, Melinda joins Luis Rodriguez and the Latinos in Lotusland authors for a reading at Tia Chucha’s Cultural Cafe, 13197-A Gladstone Avenue, Sylmar, CA 91342, Saturday, Oct. 3 from 1-3:30pm.


August 1-19, Channels 17 & 21 airs June’s Poetry of Science program. Melinda on tv!

June 5, Melinda participates in  Poetry and Science, original poems at the Fe Bland, Auditorium, SBCC, 8pm.


April 19, Melinda hosts and reads. Chasing the Flying Machine: Poets Respond to Yinka Shonibare’s Art, Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Sunday, April 19th at 2pm.


April 3, Melinda performs for the Jazz, Blues, and Langston Hughes Tribute at the Lobero Courtyard, 6pm in Santa Barbara.


February 24, Melinda is a Mardi Gras parade judge in New Roads, Louisiana.
